Robert Allen Bronson

Robert was preceded in death by his daughter, Luanne Bronson and grandson, Nicholas Bronson; siblings Leonard Bronson, Eleanor Koning and brothers-in-law Richard, Chet, Larry, Russell and Ronald Chapin; and sister-in-law, Barb (Carroll) Sexton.

He will be lovingly missed by Betty, his wife of 69 years; children Michael (Carol) Bronson, Sue Bronson, Linda Stauffer, Paul (Peggy) Bronson; grandchildren Jeremy, Angela (Mike), Jennifer, Jeff (Dana), Andrew (Ashlee), Jake (Elizabeth), and Caitlyn; great-grandchildren Anthony, Skyler, Aleeyah, Elia, Brady, Isaiah, Izabell, Emma, Evan, Kaydin, Jagger, Alivia, Elena, Graham, and Stella; sisters-in-law Ruth (Marvin) Gage, Karen Hale, and Betty Chapin; and many nieces, nephews and friends, as well as his special pets Chubby and Alfie.

Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, solitaire and feeding all of God’s creatures. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed nature along with his many years at Sandy Pines. Bob started his work career at Kroger, where he met Betty, the love of his life. He continued into other fields of employment until he started at Blackmer Pump, where he retired in 1991. Bob was a faithful, long-time member of the UAW.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, October 7, 2019 at Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 - 84th St., SW, Byron Center, MI 49315, with visitation one hour prior to the service. The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at the funeral home in Byron Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Robert to Focus on Ferals, Humane Society of Kent County, or the American Lung Association.
