Robert C. McGoffin

He was preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy; and his grandson Jason Boeringa.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Marion Y. McGoffin Flynn; his children, Sandra Dennis Rogalewski, Bruce LindaMcGoffin,RobertSharon McGoffin Jr., Michael Elena Gilleo, Donna CharlesHosner, Randy Patricia Gilleo,Robin Ross Hammerle, and Ronda Henry Verschueren; his 25 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

After returning from the European Theater in World War II Robert worked for Robinson Cartage Co. of Grand Rapids for 33 years and retired in 1982.

He spent much of his spare time as a coach in the Grandville Little League and Boy Scouts.

He was a great leader who taught his sons to be avid hunters and fishermen.

The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Cook Memorial Chapel 4235 Prairie St SW. - east building.

Interment will be at the Floral View Memorial Gardens.

The family will meet with relatives and friends on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Grandville - west building.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grand Rapids Home for Veterans - One Red.
