Robert Stalsonburg

Robert “Bob” Stalsonburg, age 93, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, December 31, 2021. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marian “Jean” Stalsonburg; daughter, Diana DeYoung; and his four younger siblings. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Jenell Stalsonburg; children Karen (Dick) Young, Dale (Peg) Stalsonburg, Terry (Amanda) Stalsonburg, Sallie Youells, Valerie (Chris) Schleh; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters-in-law Ruth Stalsonburg and Joann Hilton; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was in construction in the Grand Rapids area for most of his adult life and was affectionately known as “Bob the Builder.” If Bob built it, you knew it was well-built because of his attention to details. In his retirement years, you’d always find him at Marge’s Donut Den. Bob loved to travel and also took pride in his house and yard. He was always willing to lend a helping hand.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418, with visitation from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to service.
