Bob is my second cousin, he remodeled my mom and dad's house for them. I remember how happy my mom was with his work. She was so proud of the changes. I remember being told not to touch the saw and of course I did. It made a musical sound and gave away my indiscretion. Bob chided me for doing the opposite of what he had told me to do. I know my dad will miss him as they were close, and I will always be reminded of a smiling good humored cousin. He will be missed.

"Uncle Bob Neighbor" was a very nice man. When Brian needed to borrow anything, Uncle Bob Neigbor was there willing to lend a tool or a hand. He was always there with a "Hi Judy" if he saw you out in the yard. He was proud of his yard and cars. He will be sadly missed by our family.

Uncle Bob I am going to miss you very much, I will be thinking of you and the Bean Bag game. As a master carpenter Bob you taught me a lot when you helped me make our bean bag boards I felt pretty good when you told me I was good you said I istened to you LOL. I said I could help do your cabinets in the house and we did that You tought me a lot Bob about finish work. Going to miss the fishing on the river with you we did have fun and the stories we told to each other. Many people at Big Bend will miss you too Bob you were always ready to help or give advice and you would not miss the chance to play cards or dice. Shirley and I will miss the Boat rides you and Shirley and Gizzmo took us on.

Shirley and family; So sorry for your loss. Bob was always a great guy. With his hand extended out to shake yours,and a great sense of humor he was the one you wanted to set next to at the car club meetings. I was invited to go fishing with him,and with regrets never made it. God speed Bob, you will be missed.

My Daughter Heather was explaining to my 2 1/2 year old Granddaughter Ciara, where Great Grandpa has gone. She told her, Grandpa is in Heaven, with Jesus up in the sky, Ciara replied "Lets get a airplane and go get him." My Dad was very proud of all his Grandkids and Great Grandkids, and as you can imagine they had lots of fun with Grandpa, and will miss him tremendously!!!

My Grandpa always had a way of making people around him and himself laugh. Singing about his dog "Hummer", telling jokes and old stories were among his favorites. I can re-call visiting in the hospital during Grandpa's final days and Tom, my momA�A�A�s realtor walked in, whom my Grandpa knew only a short time, and Tom spoke in a low tone, "UNCLE BOB" with a smile and a hand extended toward Grandpa. Both my Grandpa and Tom started laughing! This was the type of person my Grandpa was and even lying in a Hospital bed still had a way of making people laugh and finding strength to laugh himself.
 One of many qualities that will surely be missed. Love You Grandpa!

It is a difficult thing losing a parent. Everyday it seem imposible to not mourn for them; every time there is a holiday, a family function, a milestone reached you mourn the loss. We are all given the ability and strength to handle what comes our way as long as we don't try to handle it by ourself.

I'll never forget the time we were having a b-day gathering for one of the grandkids. We were all on the back deck eating pizza. All the sudden Bob flipped his chair and off the deck he went. I started laughing cause when Bob got up low and behold his pizza was still in his hand with not a speck of dirt. . He and I got a good laugh out of that one....how he fell and saved his pizza!! I'll miss you Bob but you will forever be in my heart.

I have to say I'll miss our short conversations everytime I called back home, prior to putting Mom on the phone. My children still carry the tune "Hummer Hummer Hummer" with them 5 years after their last visit, and after speaking with so many people from so many different backgrounds and interests, and how you touched all of them, we may rest assured Bob has a very strong spirit, and it will remain alive in all of us.
