

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Murray and Daniel Stout; and his dog, Tug.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Alice Wieck Stout; his children, Ronna Schultz Michael O'Meara, Steven Caroll Stout, and Charlotte Willyard; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Valerie, Krista, Zachary, and Brian; brothers-in-law, Edgar Betty Wieck and Keith Frieda Wieck; sisters-in-law, Shirley Stout and Dorothy Stout; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Robert served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp, earning the rank of Corporal. He was the founder of Mark Maker Corporation. Robert was an accomplished artist and woodcarver and a member of the wood carvers association. His art work is currently on display at the Van Singel Fine Arts Center as the featured artist of the month until February 12, 2009.
A reception will be held in his honor on January 18th from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Van Singel Fine Arts Center in Byron Center.
Robert was a pilot and a past member of the Experimental Aircraft Association.
A private committal service will be held at Rosedale Memorial Park. The family will meet with relatives and friends on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Byron Center Chapel of Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St SW, Byron Center, MI.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan or the American Heart Association.
