Rosemarie was born August 12, 1944, in Indiana, PA, the daughter of the late Andrew Woytek and Anna (Hritz) Woytek. She was raised a coal miner’s daughter in Arcadia, PA and was the 12th of 13 children. She was a graduate of Purchase Line High School and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Rosemarie met the late Richard L. Trindle in Cleveland, OH and they married in 1967. Richard worked for the United States Customs Service which led them on a journey to eight different states. She raised three children while also working outside the home and enjoyed 51 years of marriage before Richard’s passing in 2019.
Rosemarie also followed Richard into the world of amateur boxing officiating and working as an extra in several movies. She volunteered as a boxing judge for almost 40 years and was a positive impact for many disadvantaged youth. In 2014, she was inducted into the DC Boxing Hall of Fame. If you look closely, you can see her in such movies as The Fugitive, Prelude to a Kiss and Chain Reaction. Rosemarie was also a proud member of P.E.O. and never disclosed to her children what the letters originally meant.
Rosemarie is survived by her children John Trindle of Jenison, Mike (Rosie) Trindle of Castle Rock, CO and Anna (Mike) Hunter of Solon, OH; grandchildren Cara (Cain) Patterson, Alexandria Hunter, Emily and Megan Trindle; five siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
