Ryan had a warm and friendly personality and a big heart for others. He had a well-known and infectious laugh that could fill a room. He was an avid fan of football, especially his Michigan Wolverines! One of Ryan’s favorite pastimes was traveling to Canadian Lakes for a fishing tournament with his friend, Chris. He will be deeply missed.
Ryan will be greatly missed by his mother and stepfather, Mary (Ron) Berens; sisters Sara Bassler and Kelcy Berens; niece, Brynleigh; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Ryan was preceded in death by his brother, Eric Meeuwenberg; and grandparents Harold and Josephine Meeuwenberg.
A memorial service celebrating Ryan’s life will be held 1 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2026 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418, with visitation from 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. prior to the service. In memory of Ryan in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for the education of his favorite niece, Brynleigh.
