

Sheila Ann (Wilson) Taylor, age 85, was welcomed home to be with her Lord and Savior September 18, 2025. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, David John Taylor Sr.; parents V. Lee and Georgetta Wilson; parents-in-law, Wm. Glen and Esther Taylor; sister and brother-in-law Doris and Larry Rice; sister and brother-in-law Linda and Tom Randall; brothers-in-law Bill, Hearald, and Don Taylor; and sisters-in-law Dorothy Kipp, Ruth Stiles, Alice Taylor and Edith Taylor.
Surviving are her children David John Taylor Jr. (Monica), Miriam Taylor Crawford, Deborah Taylor, Naomi (Daniel) Hayes, Ruth Taylor, and Rebekah (Brian) Croel; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Ron Taylor; sisters and brothers Glenda (John) Wallis, Don (Jerri) Wilson, Ron (Margie) Wilson, Karen (Gene) Cline; sisters-in-law Kay Taylor and Geraldine Taylor; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A graduate of the Butterworth Hospital Nursing School, Sheila used her nursing skills as an extension of her deep care for others and her love of Jesus. Her life was devoted to her family and her faith in Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who poured encouragement, care, and hospitality into all she did. She enjoyed serving others and blessing everyone around her. Her steadfast faith, gentle spirit, and joyful heart touched all who knew her. Her greatest joy was her family, and her greatest hope was in Christ.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2025 at Cook Funeral Home (West Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Forest Hills Bible Chapel, 4637 Ada Dr. SE, Ada, MI 49301, with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Sheila will be laid to rest at Georgetown Cemetery in Georgetown Township, MI. In honor of Sheila and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Forest Hills Bible Chapel or Edison Christian Life Services.
