Sidney Miedema

MIEDEMA - Mr. Sidney 'Sid' Miedema, age 65 of Byron Center, went to be with his Heavenly Father Sunday, June 13, 1999. Sid and his sons owned and operated Miedema Auctioneering Inc. Sid was preceded in death by his parents Ted and Margaret, his brother Erne, and brother-in-law Henry Zwak. Surviving is his loving wife Donna; his children, Kathy and Duane Mingerink of Byron Center, Carol Miedema at home, Sid Jr. and Lisa of Caledonia, and Scott of Grand Rapids; 10 precious grandchildren whom he thought the world of and enjoyed each moment spent with his special gifts from God, Tammi Jason, Chad, Kurt, Stacy, Karli, Jordan, Jeremy, Lynnae, Alexis, and Austin; brothers and sisters, Freda Zwak of Hudsonville, Ed and Lorraine of FL, Ron and Dee of Jenison, Ted and Gloria of Hudsonville, Jake and Marsha of Jenison, Jane Hoven of FL; sister-in-law Kae Miedema of Jenison; brother-in-law Harold and Mary Elzinga of Byron Center; many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday from Byron Center First Christian Reformed Church with Pastor Douglas Kuiper officiating. Interment Boynton Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Heritage Christian School or Hope Network. Visitation 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Byron Center Chapel of Cook Funeral Home 2067 84th St..
