Suzanne Mary Mieras, age 79, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, September 16, 2025. Suzanne was preceded in death by her brother, David Dykstra and parents Albert and Pauline Dykstra. She will be remembered by her husband, A. Cary Mieras; children Tracy Mieras-Hutchinson (Craig) and Ann Mieras; and brother, Alan Dykstra (Diane); and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Suzanne raised two children alongside her husband, and had a long career at Diocesan Publication Incorporated. After retirement, Suzanne enjoyed volunteering at her parish and exercising at the local gym with her friends. Her later years were marked by the challenges of Parkinson's, and never one to complain, she approached each day with grace and dignity, never losing her optimism for the next day. She will be remembered for her patience, kindness, sense of humor, and positive spirit.
Visitation with friends and relatives will take place from 4-7 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2025 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. A celebration Mass of Suzanne’s life will commence 10 a.m. Saturday, September 27, with visitation one hour prior, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Parish, 2700 Baldwin St., Jenison, MI 49428. Memorial contributions may be made to an agency supporting those with Parkinson’s disease or Parkinson’s research in her memory.
