Thomas Wesley Williams

WILLIAMS, Thomas Wesley Williams, age 78 of Byron Center. Tom has slain the last demons of Lewy Body Dementia and is now resting in heaven with his loving family, friends, and beloved pets. Tom was given many creative talents including his love of music, poetry, art, flying airplanes, house building, and he used every one to the fullest. He retired in 2004 after 51 years at Smiths Aerospace.

Tom will be dearly missed by his wife of 24 years, Marjorie Merriman. Tom is also survived by his brothers: Howard J. Rosalie of West Milford, NJ, Frank Beth of E. Lansing, MI, John Kay of Detroit, MI and Paul of Dallas, TX. Tom will also be missed by several nieces, nephews, extended family, a special cousin Andrea Darling of E. Grand Rapids, MI, and special friends: Alice, Fumiko, Mei, Diane Bloem, Dr. Holt, Dr. Tournell and his beloved dogs, Queenie II and Moneypenny.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Staff of the Lewy Body Dementia Association, St. Mary’s Hospital and most of all Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods.

To help in the celebration of Tom’s Life, the family asks that you to wear something yellow, Tom’s favorite color, or another bright color to the service, which will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the Cook Funeral Home, Byron Center, 2067 84th St.

The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Byron Center. If you are unable to attend the visitation or services please sign the family’s Memory Book at www.cookfuneralservices.com.

Memory contributions in Tom’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.
