Timothy James Davis

Timothy James Davis, age 44, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, April 9, 2026. Tim was preceded in death by his wife, Kate Davis. He will be remembered by his father, Russ (Candy) Davis; mother, Jennifer (Dave) Ditmar; siblings Marie Wright, Joe (Alex) Davis, Hannah Ditmar, Ashley (Matt) Kretzschmar, Shayla Franks; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Tim married the love of his life, Kate Thole, in September of 2012. Together, they enjoyed five wonderful years camping at their family property in Walhalla and delighting in the company of their niece, Magdeline. Their shared creativity was evident in the many projects they undertook, from crafting homemade Christmas ornaments for the family, to building wooden picture boards. Tim was deeply passionate about his professional life, working first as a custom granite fabricator and later as a telecommunications installation specialist. In recent years, he served as an exemplary role model for his three young nephews, teaching them about knives, guns, outdoor survival, and football. Football was an integral part of Tim’s life—he played for his high school team and consistently cheered for the Spartans and Lions, never missing a game. Those who knew Tim will always remember his sense of humor, compassion, and unwavering strength.

A memorial celebration of Tim’s life will commence 2 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Downtown Christian Church, 1711 Walker Ave. NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504. Pastor Kevan Grinwis will be officiating. The family welcomes memories and messages www.cookcaresgrandville.com in their guest book online.
