William “Bill” Van Dalsen, age 83, went to be with his Lord Saturday, September 3, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Lena Van Dalsen; sisters Elaine Van Dalsen and Dorothy Hunt; stepson, Todd Hudson. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 38 years, Victoria Van Dalsen; son, Brian (Ali) Van Dalsen of Greenback, TN; daughter, Michelle (Jim) Vollmer of Bailey, Michigan; Judy Van Dalsen, the mother of his children; nephew, Ted Russell; sister, Jean (Harry) Stone of Phoenix, Arizona; brother, Dave Van Dalsen (Donna Jacobson) of Sun City West, AZ; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his dog, Cooper.
Bill was a faithful member of Wesley Park United Methodist Church. He had a deep and abiding faith. Bill worked for Jay’s foods for 25 years. He was an avid sports fan. Bill loved spending time outdoors caring for his lawn and garden. Deer hunting was Bill’s favorite time of the year; he particularly enjoyed the upper peninsula. Bill had a strong love for animals, especially his dogs. Bill and Vicky loved to travel together, going on cruises and many bus trips with their church, as well as visiting family in Arizona.
Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, September 23, 2022 with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. at Wesley Park United Methodist Church, 1150 32nd St. SW, Wyoming, Michigan 49509. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed at www.wesleypark.org. Pastor Dean Prentiss will be officiating.
Interment is at Winchester Cemetery. In honor of Bill and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wesley Park United Methodist Church “Guitars not Guns” program, and the Humane Society of West Michigan.
