Howie will be lovingly remembered and missed by his children Chris (Deedra) Everett, Amy (Steve) Carvey, Kelly (Ryan) Hammink, Jacob (Siera) Everett, Ellie (James) Nisbet, and Eason (Tasha) Everett; his 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his sisters Terry (Dave) Austin and Ruth (John) Hawley. He will also be greatly missed by his love, Peggy Ary; his close friend, Bob (Laurie) Jackson; along with many other friends and family.
Howie was a man with many skills - a jack of all trades who could fix and build anything. Those skills were utilized so very often as he was one who was always there to lend a helping hand and fix any problem that would arise. He was an animal lover and avid outdoorsman. He had a great passion for hunting, fishing, golfing, and bowling. He lived a life full of adventures, from Alaska to Florida and everywhere in between. That gypsy life provided many stories, usually ending in lots of laughter. What will be missed most is his great smile, youthful soul, his ability to make you laugh, and mostly just the fact that he was always there.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 12 - 3:00 p.m. at Casino Club of Grand Rapids located at 3260 Salerno Dr. NE, Grand Rapids, Mi. 49525.
