William M. Gurd

Bill Gurd, age 77, went to be with his Lord, Wednesday, August 24, 2011. He was preceded in death by his father William H. Gurd; mother Mae T Gurd; sisters Barbara May and Betsie Van Ee. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jan Gurd; sons Brian (Rene Rozelle), Kevin and Eric Gurd; grandchildren Ryan Atwell, Heather Atwell, Matthew Gurd, Lauren Gurd and Chloe Gurd. He was a member of the Creston Rod and Gun Club who loved hunting, fishing, traveling and spending time up north at his farm. Visitation with the family will be held from 6pm to 8pm, Sunday August 28 at Cook Funeral Home in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St SW.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday at Georgetown United Methodist Church. In honor of Bill, contributions may be made to Love Inc or Georgetown United Methodist Church Foundation. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookfamilycares.com.
