William James Scott Jr., age 94, passed away peacefully into the arms of his Savior January 28, 2022. He was born September 28, 1927 to William and Margaret Scott in Grandville, MI. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Jean Scott. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Sandy Way, Bill Scott, Bruce (Denise) Scott; companion and friend, Shirley Behr; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Bill will be lovingly remembered as a long-standing member of the Grandville United Methodist Church. He proudly served in the United States Navy and retired after 41 years from C & O Railroad. Bill enjoyed traveling, and also especially loved fishing, bowling, golfing and trading his stocks. Bill loved all things history.
Visitation with Bill’s family and friends will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Cook Memorial Chapel, 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville. Celebration of Life for William will be held 11 a.m. Friday, February 4, 2022, with visitation an hour prior to service, at Cook Memorial Chapel.
