John Daniel Lowe Jr.

John Daniel Lowe, Jr., 71, died September 2, 2016, at Rogue Regency Medical Center in Medford, Oregon, after battling a long illness. He was born January 27, 1945, in Los Angeles, California. He was the youngest son of John D. and Petronella K. Lowe. John graduated from Grants Pass High School, class of 1963. Shortly after graduation he met and married Sally Jo Young also of Grants Pass. They celebrated 43 years of marriage before she predeceased him in 2007. Most people will remember John for having worked many years in management with Bi-Mart and for his many years with Farmer’s Building Supply of Grants Pass. John was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golf. He also loved computer games and fly-tying. He enjoyed sharing these hobbies with his family. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a brother William and a sister Patricia. Surviving him are his daughters Kimberly Kious and Christine Kodysz, both of Grants Pass, Robyn Gealon of Bend, Oregon, and Jan Olson of Phoenix, Arizona along with their spouses; 11 grandchildren, Kaylie, Eric, Tracy, Abbigail, Greg, Emily, Jacob, Ken, Tim, Enoch, and Ammon, ; 6 great grandchildren, Annalise, Brylieh, Carsen, Ben, Everly, and Emalyn; One brother Don Lowe of Salem, Oregon and one sister Virginia Graeber of Grants Pass; many nieces, nephews, and friends who loved him. A graveside memorial gathering will be held at 1pm Saturday, September 24, 2016, at the upper loop of Granite Hill Cemetery on Upper River Rd, Grants Pass, Oregon.
