Margaret was born on March 20th, 1929, in Fostoria, Ohio to George and Hannah Reber. She graduated from Bowling Green State University, Ohio in 1952 and later taught High School in several locations in Illinois, California, and Oregon, and later became a real estate broker before retiring.
Margaret married James Harper in 1953 and the couple had four children. They were involved heavily with the church and civic organizations throughout her life. She was a devoted loving mother who took much pride in raising her family. Margaret had a soft spot for animals and adopted numerous cats and dogs throughout her life. She also enjoyed spending time at the Oregon coast with family and friends.
Margaret is survived by her husband Jim and their three sons, Jim (Gail), Chuck (Laura), and Darin (Rhonda) Harper, and their daughter Kim (Mark) Grinde; three grandchildren (Jennifer, Rebecca, Derek) and three great grandchildren (Abigail, Ethan, Emma).
A memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Rogue River at a future date.
