Martin (Marty) Horton, 91 of Troy Kansas and former long time resident of Grants Pass OR passed away on Saturday February 14, 2015, at his home in Troy KS. A Graveside service will be held Monday, February 23, 2015 at 10:am at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Grants Pass. Chapel of the Valley~L.B. Hall Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Marty was born July 31, 1923 in Emporia, KS to Sidney and Martha Horton. Marty was in the United States Army Air Corp in WWII, from Dec. 1942 to Feb. 1946. He and Lois Howell were married June 26, 1944 in Grants Pass, OR. Marty worked for a local oil company as a truck driver delivering oil throughout the county. He was a member of Allen Creek Neighborhood Church for many years. The last 5 years of his life were spent in Troy, KS with his brother, David, and his family.
