Carol Koski Murphy

Carol was born in Kreole, Mississippi, to Walter and Nell Koski on January 27, 1937. She attended Moss Point High School in Mississippi. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. Carol taught 2nd and 3rd grade for several years in Mississippi, Florida and Texas. Carol also taught Kindergarten at a church in Dallas, for 2 years. Carol was a wonderful Administrative Assistant to Frank, her husband, in the Insurance and Financial Service Business. Carol was a co-owner with her husband, Frank, of a successful Diet and Nutrition business for several years. She was a top 10 leader (Ambassador Award) in the USA for the Diet and Nutrition Business, and she truly loved counseling and helping clients.

Carol’s hobbies included cooking holiday dishes and desserts, going to Lake Grapevine to enjoy the water and feed the ducks, and reading. Carol loved her Bible Study and Book Club. Some of her favorite things included spending time with her family and going home to Mississippi to visit family and friends, especially at Christmas time. She was a great storyteller to the grandchildren, making up wonderful, creative stories that they loved. Carol loved to feed “her” squirrels and birds on the back porch. She loved to dance and was in the band and on the drill team, as well as a Majorette. She played softball and powderpuff football in High School and College.

Carol was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was a faithful follower of Jesus and was always willing to help and care for those in need.

Carol’s memory lives on in her husband, Frank Murphy; children Delaney Murphy (Barbara) and Crystal Hutchison (Mark); grandchildren Kristen Murphy, Samantha Hutchison Robertson (Wes), Hunter Hutchison and Kate Hutchison; great grandchildren Margot Robertson; brother Bill Koski (Beth); nephews Barry Koski (Debbie) and Brad Koski (Daly), as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Nell Koski.

A Memorial service will take place at JE Foust and Son Funeral Home, 523 South Main Street, Grapevine, Texas 76051, on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 10:00 am.

Memorial donations may be made in Carol’s honor to the American Heart Association.
