

Jeffrey David Trice, beloved, husband, father, son, and brother went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 in his home surrounded by family. A celebration service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, April 25,2015, at First Baptist Church Grapevine. A graveside service will follow at a later date in Roswell, New Mexico. Jeff was born in Hobbs, N.M. on April 28.1959 to Calvin and Betty Jo (Owens) Trice. He is preceded in death by his father Calvin Trice and sister, Cheryl Trice Wills. Jeff is survived by his wife, Tamara Lynn Trice (Downs), daughter, Rebekah Noel Trice, mother, Betty Trice, brother, Richard Calvin Trice (wife Linda) and brother –in- law Quentin Wills, many perfect nephews and nieces, and numerous cousins and friends! Jeff spent his childhood years growing up in Jal and Hobbs, New Mexico, and graduated from Hobbs High School. He was an exchange student to New Zealand his senior year in High School and then joined the Navy in 1978. He was stationed primarily at Pearl Harbor, HI, and at the Great Lakes Naval Training Base near Chicago, IL. Upon retirement from the Navy, Jeff graduated from Eastern New Mexico University with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He moved to Roswell, New Mexico to work at Campus America. It was here he meet his wife, Tamara. They were married in 1993, relocated to Knoxville, TN, Houston, TX, and finally to Grapevine, TX, where their daughter Rebekah was born. Jeff then began to work for SAP America, where he worked for the last 17 years. He was also a long time member and Bible Study leader at First Baptist Church Grapevine, where God also blessed him with strong friendships. Jeff had a passion for reading, history and traveling. He was an avid battlefield historian who loved visiting the European battlefields he studied about, enjoyed stamp collecting, automobiles, and as most of us do, a good meal with close friends! He was able to make many trips all over the United States, and abroad with family and friends. His quick wit and dry sense of humor always drew people to him. He was well loved and will be greatly missed.
