Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Bobbie Smith, her sister Connie Smith, and her Aunt Janie McGaha.
Sharon was a graduate of DeSoto High School and continued her college education at Northlake. She dedicated her life to supporting her family and raising two beautiful girls, eventually being promoted to Mamaw. In her free time she enjoyed baking, specifically, intricate cake decorating. She was a talented artist and family still has many of her pieces on display in their homes. She became very active as a member of the Grapevine Senior Citizens Center, teaching computer classes and graphic design creating event programs and greeting cards. Mamaw wasn't just the "best Mamaw" to her great grand children, she also loved and cared for her fur babies. She enjoyed arts and crafts making costumes and gifts for her friends and family.
Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy and she never missed an opportunity to praise them. She will always and forever be their biggest fan. She enjoyed any family vacation, a sandy beach, camping and the occasional cruise. She appreciated effort no matter how small, she was always grateful for any visit or phone call. Her influence is unmeasurable and will never be forgotten. It goes beyond her family but to her friends who can attest she was, more often than not, the most optimistic person, finding the upside when many of us couldn't.
Elvis and Garth were her go to men in her life. She was fortunate to meet one and see the other in concert in her lifetime. She was a purple over pink kinda gal but red over purple. Tweety Bird, sweetie pie and baby dragons are constant reminders of her patience and forgiveness that influenced many.
She is survived by her fur babies Bo, Ray, Roxi, Stella, Duke and Remi. She is preceded by fur babies, Puppy, Scotch, Kiki, Angel and Tootsie.
She will continue to be honored and respected by many and missed by all.
