He was born in Lubbock, Texas, to William Higdon & Frances White. In his younger years, Ty moved to Dallas, Texas, where he graduated from Lake Highlands High School in 1979. He met the love of his life Lisa, in 1980, and they wed in 1983. In 1995, they welcomed the birth of their first child, Savannah, and in 2001, the birth of their second child, Reese.
Ty was fiercely loyal and dependable. Ty was always willing to lend a hand or offer advice to neighbors and friends who might need assistance with projects around their house. He loved attending concerts with his wife, Lisa, with some of their favorites being The Eagles, Journey, & Elton John. Ty was also a foodie. He loved trying new restaurants, cuisines, and grilling on his Traeger with his family. Some of their fondest memories were made around the dinner table and in their backyard enjoying the pool. Ty was shy until you got to know him. He loved a good joke, and he had a dry sense of humor and wittiness about him that made even the smallest comment hilarious.
Anyone who knew Ty knew that he was the most loving, supportive, and strong father and husband a family could ask for. He never missed a game or dance performance. Ty was honest, trustworthy, and dedicated to everyone he cared about. He always wanted to do the right thing and the best he could at anything he tackled. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, and he was unendingly proud of his children. He made sure that they both had every opportunity available to them, and he was very proud of that as well.
Ty was preceded in death by his mother, Frances; father, William, and grandparents; Elmer and Marzalee White and William Aubrey and Euphia Higdon. Ty is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lisa; daughter, Savannah; son, Reese; uncles John, Ken, Sanford, and Michael; aunt, Karen; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alec and Gloria; brothers-in-law, Alex and Raul; sisters-in-law, Sandra and Linda; nieces and nephew, Marisa, Lexi, and Christian; many cousins; and numerous longtime friends and neighbors who were like family to him.
