KOPELMAN--Carol Fialkov, daughter of Elaine and Herman Fialkov, was born July 17, 1947, and died on February 19th surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard, and sons Joshua (Rena) and Michael (Amy), and her adoring grandchildren Elana, Jacob, Ethan, and Samantha. Carol also leaves her brother, Jay (Claire) and her nephew David (Allison) and niece, Emma; also she leaves her sister-in-law Ruth (Jon). Carol will be remembered for her love of family, integrity, generosity of spirit, positive attitude, and competence in all areas she pursued. After her sons were grown she became a very successful real estate broker, specializing in Great Neck properties. She was a good listener, fun to be with, and someone who invariably provided wise advice. She leaves many relatives and friends truly saddened but all were inspired by her strength and courage. Carol said that her legacy was her children; and she truly left the world a better place. Donations in her memory should be made to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
