Jeff was a devoted husband to his wife of 42 years, Ellen, with whom he shared a life of remarkable adventure — including travel to all seven continents. Their partnership was a testament to a shared appetite for discovery and for each other's company.
He began his career as a teacher, a vocation that reflected his lifelong love of ideas and his gift for drawing others into conversation. He brought that energy to a subsequent, award-winning career in the insurance and financial industry, and carried his intellectual passions — literature, music, politics, and spirited debate — throughout every chapter of his life. He was, among other distinctions, a formidable solver and creator of crossword puzzles, and during his later years an author with the publication of his book about the U.S. Constitution, ‘Second Chances.’
Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Ellen; his daughter, Marci; his stepdaughters, Marcia and Laura; and his grandchildren, Mitchell, Nina, Brielle, Zayden, and Baker.
He will be remembered as a man of quick humor and strong convictions, who lived with enthusiasm and left an impression on those around him.
