Rhoda K. Taffet

Rhoda was predeceased by her parents Jack and Anna Krinsky, her brother Robert Krinsky and her sister-in-law Thelma Krinsky, and her beloved husband Milton S. Taffet, with whom she shared 64 years of marriage. She is survived by her son Robert S. Taffet and his spouse Heidi Duterte Taffet, daughter Jody Taffet Sterling and her spouse William Sterling, and daughter Suzanne Taffet Romano and her spouse Vinny Romano.

She is also survived by grandchildren Nicole Romano-Ferreira and spouse Andrew Ferreira, Michael Sterling, Natalie Romano-Mondello and her spouse Michael Mondello, Jessica Taffet Walters and her spouse Camden Walters, Alexander Taffet, Alison Sterling Clayton and her spouse Matthew Clayton, and Kathryn Taffet. Great grandchildren include Benjamin Milton Ferreira, Hannah Olinda Ferreira, Gaiel Rhys Walters and Rowen Russel Walters and Luca Mondello. Many cousins and friends also survive.

A funeral service will be held at Riverside-Nassau North Chapels, located at 55 North Station Plaza, Great Neck, NY, 11021, U.S on August 21, 2025, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Mt. Ararat Cemetery, 1165 Route 109, Lindenhurst, NY, 11757.

Shiva gatherings will be held at the home of Suzanne and Vinny Romano, 161 Oakland Avenue, West Hempstead, NY, 11552 on Thursday, August 21, from 1:30 - 4:00 pm and 5:00-8:00 pm; Friday August 22 from 11:00 am to 2:00pm and 4:00 - 8:00 pm; and Saturday, August 23, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and 4:00 to 8:00 pm.

An additional Shiva gathering will be hosted by Jody and Bill Sterling at the Woodstock Jewish Congregation, 1682 Glasco Turnpike, Woodstock, NY 12498 on Monday, August 25, from 5:00 - 7:30 pm.
