Marcus, Sara, 99 years old passed away on June 8, 2017 in Floral Park NY. Beloved wife of the late Alex. Devoted mother of Carole & Howard Smith and Elayne & Robert Weiner. Cherished grandmother of Larry & Kristin Smith, Mark Smith, Benjamin Weiner and Davinia Levy Molner and Danielle Weiner Burness and Samuel Burness. Loving great grandmother of Julian, Jordan, Zachary and Olivia. Sara was the last surviving child of five born to Leba and Israel Samuels, immigrants from Poland. She graduated from Brooklyn College at eighteen and went on to become an elementary school teacher. Services Sunday 12 noon at Riverside Nassau North Chapels, 55 N. Station Plaza, Great Neck, NY. Interment at New Montefiore Cemetery, Pinelawn, NY. Donations may be made to Combined Jewish Philanthropies or the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.
