Sarelle Scardino (3/13/36-10/15/21) passed away early this morning after a mercifully short battle with pancreatic cancer. Sarelle was a loving daughter, wife (to Carl and then her dear Joe), mother, and friend. She was a passionate and devoted teacher. She had a long and joyful career in the NYC public school system teaching kindergarten and first grade and was beloved by so many students and colleagues. Sarelle is survived by her sons, Andrew, Howard, Chris, and Michael and her granddaughters, Katherine and Olivia. Services will take place at Riverside Nassau North, North Station Plaza, Great Neck NY, on Monday, Octobe 18th at noon. All are welcome.
