

Albert (Bud) Fry, Sr., 82, of Greeley passed away June 9, 2013 after a courageous battle of declining health. He was born March 26, 1931 in Evans, Colorado to Arthur Fry Sr. and Annabelle (Jochim) Fry.
Bud was raised in Weld County and attended Bee Bee Draw School and attended the Methodist Church in Evans. On June 10, 1953 Bud married Pearl (Lynch) of Milliken. They shared 60 years of a loving marriage.
Bud served in the Army during the Korean conflict. Bud worked many jobs including Brannan Sand & Gravel and Weld County Road & Bridge Department, where he operated the snowplow and other heavy equipment. He farmed his property east of La Salle for over 30 years and also did custom farm work for numerous neighboring farmers.
After retiring, Bud and Pearl made their home in Red Feathers Lake area. He and Pearl eventually moved to Greeley where they have lived for over 25 years. Bud enjoyed traveling and fishing and loved visiting with family and friends.
Bud’s humor was loved by all. Even in times of declining health, he found pleasure in the simple things and times with his loved ones. Bud was always ready to help others. He was a volunteer driver for the Veterans Association for over 14 years, driving patients to and from the Cheyenne VA Hospital. Bud is a member of the La Salle Eagles and the American Legion.
Bud is survived by his wife, Pearl (Lynch) Fry of Greeley; daughter Judy Fry of Longmont; son, Albert Fry Jr. of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandson, Jeremy Hildenbrandt of Longmont; brothers, Jon Fry of Chloride, AZ; Bob Fry of Ralston, WY and numerous extended family members and friends.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Arlene Pickett; brother, Arthur Fry Jr.
Cremation has been entrusted to Stoddard Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Private inurnment will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
