

Alfredine (Freddie) Margaret Pitner (93) passed away on February 10. 2016 in Ft. Collins, CO, she suffered with Dementia. She was born October 15, 1922 in Seattle, Washington to Alfred E. and Margaret A. (Leichliter) Van Sant. Alfredine graduated from Franklin High School in Seattle. She was pre-deceased by her husband(s), Wilbert F. Romach (1957) and Alphonse W. Pitner (1993), her sister, Elva L. Beutlich, her granddaughter, Audria L. Ford and great granddaughter Olivia Dickinson.
She is survived by her 10 children; Jurene L Slaughter, Minneapolis, MN, Janette M Sajna, Independence, MO, Renee K Discoll, Ft. Collins, CO, Cherie F. Voorhees, Ewing, NJ, Launi L Purcell, St. Kitts, W. I., Alan J. Pitner, Lumberton, NJ, Jaime V. Pitner, Surf City, NJ, Kerry V. Pitner, Ocala, FL, Rory T. Pitner, Independence, MO and Lynette Y. Hinchcliffe, Dunnellon, FL.
23 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
Freddie taught dancing for Authur Murray Studios from 1940 to 1942 and in 1942 she was voted to have the best legs in Seattle. She was a homemaker, a talented seamstress and was active in Sweet Adeline’s for many years. In her later years, she enjoyed travelling in her motor home and visited all states except Maine. Over the years she lived in Washington, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida, Missouri, Minnesota, New Mexico and Colorado.
Private services will be held on Saturday, February 20th, 2016 @11:00AM.
