Allen A. Amen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Allen A. Amen on May 19, 2026, at the age of 85, surrounded by his loving family. Allen was born in Maywood, Illinois to Andrew Amen and Anna Steinbach Amen on March 29, 1941.

He enjoyed family, watching birds and making bird houses. He also enjoyed watching bull riding, westerns and the Broncos and Nuggets.

He is survived by his two loved daughters Lori Sharp and husband Greg, Ann Odenbaugh and husband Chester, adored grandson Andrew Odenbaugh and wife Lynnae, his three great-grandchildren Leecia, Kason and Emery, sisters Sandy Koenig and husband Jim, Connie Hastings and husband Tom, Cindy Stieb and husband Leo, Best friend Julian Guzman and wife Vickie and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

He is preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Anna Amen, sister Jeanette Reitz, and the love of his life Janet Hradecky Amen.

We love and will miss you so very much! Amazing Dad, Grandpa, Papa, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Best friend, Friend, Cousin and Neighbor.... We could go on and on so many loved you!

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
