Arthur Grieb

Arthur grew up in Europe and was of German descent. He immigrated to the US in 1952. Coming to Brownsville, Texas and later moving to North Glenn, Windsor and Greeley. Arthur married Katharina Prall on April 26, 1953 in Windsor. He served in the US Army from March 3, 1954 and was honorably discharged on February 16, 1956. During this time he attained the rank Specialist 3rd Class. He was a European trained plasterer and excelled at custom plaster work. He worked at UNC at the Physical Plant as a painter.

He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, T.E.V. Edelweiss, Pioneer Post No. 2121 VFW and Greeley/Evans Moose Lodge No.909.

Arthur is survived by his wife Katharina; daughter Rosemary Paddock (Homer) of Wheat Ridge; son Roland Grieb ( Joseph) of Folsom, Louisiana; a brother Jakob Grieb of Rattenharz, Germany; two grandchildren Lindsay Marie Hoppe (Kevin) of Los Angeles, California and Delena Katharina Grieb of Folsom, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Herta Kuck.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016, followed by Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. both at St. John’s United Church of Christ. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
