Benjamin "Benji" Villarreal Jr.

Benjamin “Benji” Villarreal Jr., a beloved son, brother, and father, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 22, 2024. Born in El Paso, TX, on May 26, 2001, Benji was known for his vibrant spirit and passion for life. At the tender age of five, he relocated to Greeley, CO, where he spent the rest of his life, leaving an indelible mark on the community and everyone who knew him.

After graduating, Benji met the love of his life, Mia Rodriguez. Their relationship blossomed, and they welcomed their beautiful and gorgeous daughter, Onyx. Onyx quickly became the most important part of their lives, and Benji found immense joy and pride in being a father. His love for his daughter was evident to all, and he cherished every moment spent with her.

Benji was a man of many talents and interests. He had a deep passion for skateboarding, often spending hours perfecting his skills and enjoying the thrill of the sport. Drawing was another one of his beloved hobbies, and he had a unique artistic style that captured the attention of many. Music was also a significant part of Benji’s life; he enjoyed creating and sharing his musical creations with friends and family. Additionally, he had a profound appreciation for nature and loved participating in outdoor activities. Benji had a unique hobby of collecting insects, finding beauty and fascination in the smallest creatures. His passion for collecting rocks led him to name his daughter, Onyx.

His untimely passing leaves a void that will never be filled. Benji will be deeply missed by his parents, Cynthia Guzmán and Manuel Ruiz, who supported and loved him unconditionally. His siblings, Alan and Evelyn Ruiz, will forever remember their brother's adventurous spirit and the many cherished memories they shared. His grandmother, Juana, will always hold Benji close in her heart, treasuring the special bond they had.

Benji’s legacy of love, creativity, and enthusiasm for life will continue to inspire those who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever miss his presence, his laughter, and his unique perspective on life. A Visitation for Benji will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. A Recitation of the Rosary will follow at 6:00 p.m. all at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634.
