Betty Lou Wagner, 77, of Greeley died June 23, 2013 at Grace Pointe. She was born December 16, 1935 in Brush, Colorado to Ray and Lavina (Becker) Mayes. She was raised on the family farm in Fort Morgan County. Betty married Benjamin Wagner on November 6, 1954.
Betty held many jobs including working at the Potato Chip Factory, School lunch server and Crossing Guard.
Betty loved her grandchildren and great grandkids. She enjoyed planting flowers and working outside in the yard. She loved being with her family. Betty enjoyed visiting with anyone she met.
Betty is survived by her husband Benjamin E. Wagner; daughters Jeannie (Elmer) Ley, Debara (Donald) Held; son Benjamin Wagner and fiancé Jenise Stolba; sister Gladies (Dan) Nelson; brothers John Mayes, Tom (Audra) Mayes and Bob (Bev) Mayes; grandchildren Katrina (Josh) Holm, Amber (Derrick) Arens, Eric Moody and Merdith Wagner; great grandchildren Kara Holm, Madison Holm, Tyler Holm, Karleigh Arens and Natalee Arens. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Ray Mayes, two sisters Dorthy Dorsey and Donna Peckinpagh and brother in law Don Dorsey.
Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29 at Stoddard Funeral Home.
