BettyJo Lynn "Jo Bear" Giaimo was born in Pueblo, Colorado on May 22, 1965. Her father was in the US Air Force so she lived in several parts of the county. She graduated from Tulleson High School in Tulleson, Arizona, class of 1985. As the eldest of a military family, home was never a 'where' but always a 'who'. She settled in Waddel, Arizona, where she met and married Jaime E. Salazar. After his death, she then married Anthony Giaimo on March 5, 1996. They later divorced. She was a mother, as evidence by the numerous children she would claim throughout the years. Her passions included reading and quilting. Above all, she loved reading her Bible. Jo Bear accepted the Lord into her heart while still very young and has truly lived His Gospel with her life. She was a loving and caring person, who never saw anything bad in the people she met. She was very giving and ready to help anyone in need.
