Billy Ray Gay

Billy was raised in Garland, Texas, graduating from South Garland High School. After graduation he started his career in heating and air conditioning. He worked in Garland and the Dallas Metro area until he became disabled. He was an HVAC specialist and was excellent at his job.

On December 7, 1974 he married Pat Head on Duncanville, Texas. They were members of Abundant Life Church in Garland.

Billy was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing and camping. He also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos. Billy loved to play all types of games and loved time spent with his family.

Billy is survived by his wife, Pat; three daughters, Lynnette Thompson (Lynn Emerson) of Evans, Jennifer Dickson (Jimmie) of Paris, Texas and Malaina Brewer (Nathan) of Henryetta, Oklahoma; his mother, Florence Welchel of Garland; two sisters, Sheila Todd of Garland and Sherry Nix (Carey) of Rowlett, Texas and eight grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Abundant Life Church, Garland, Texas.
