Bobby G. Baird

He was born on July 12, 1934 in Greeley, Colorado to Clyde and Grace (Ruckel) Baird. He was raised in Greeley and was one of 14 children. Bobby worked with his dad doing custom farming, focusing on harvesting grain and hay. As an adult, Bobby worked in Highway Construction laying asphalt. On December 3, 1994, he married the love of his life, Sandra (Wood). Together, they enjoyed life every day doing the things they loved.

Bobby was a devout Christian and a member of Cowboy Church in Kersey, Colorado. He absolutely loved going to church and reading his bible every day. Bobby was on the board of his Bible Camp and attended Bible Camp Rodeo. He enjoyed his independence and in his free time, he liked to travel and take care of animals, especially his two dogs. As he grew older, he found himself caring for a colony of stray cats. Bobby would sit by his window and loved to say prayers. He also enjoyed tinkering in his garden, building things, and creating things from wood. Bobby loved his hot chocolate and going out to eat.

Bobby was loved deeply; he will be missed greatly by all who he leaves behind. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Baird; step-children, Sherri Suleyman, Andrea Preece, Marcel Preece, Kathy Schuerger, and Richard Schuerger; sister, Betty Hubbard; brothers, Walter “Walt” (Nancy) Baird, and Johnny Baird; grandchildren, Lane, Beaux, Travis, Shane, Shansa, Gevriye, and Robbie; great-grandchildren, Skyler, Patrick, Xander, Lily, Jackson, Isreal, Juna, Zayn, Aydin, Delilah, Lydia, Alanya and Alexavier; and great-great-grandchildren, Teddy and Anthony. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Grace; brothers, Billy Baird and Don Baird; and sister, Maryann Baird.

A Visitation for Bobby will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 p.m., also at Stoddard Funeral Home. Bobby will be laid to rest following the service at 3:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3400 W. 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634.
