Byron Glenn Taylor of Loveland died Friday, October 16, 2015 from cancer complications at McKee Medical Center surrounded by family. He was 39. Byron was born September 8, 1976 in Ft. Collins to Chauncey and Christy Taylor.
Byron played baseball and football for Loveland High School, and attended Mesa State College and the University of Nebraska at Kearney on football scholarships. Byron was a talented craftsman. He loved reading manuals and figuring out how to make and fix things. He excelled at woodworking, and even made some of his own clothing. He loved power tools!
Byron was a loving son and brother and was highly respected by his many friends and family. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of fishing, his unselfish giving heart, and his unending thirst for knowledge.
Byron was preceded in death by grandfathers Ed Taylor and Glenn Channell; grandmother Virginia Johnson; and cousin Scott Reed.
Byron is survived by his parents; brother Layne (Margaret) of Windsor; sister Amy of Seattle, Washington; grandmother Virginia Channell of Loveland; aunt Wendy (Dave) Reed of Longmont; uncles Gregg Channell of Loveland, Steve (Sondra) Channell of Prosper, Texas, and Thayne (Lynn) Taylor of Kalaheo, Kauai; numerous cousins; and his beloved dog GiGi.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Allnutt Funeral Service, with Pastor Phil Brewster officiating.
