Cheryl A. Hagemeister

Cheryl Ann Hagemeister, 60, of Nunn, passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 at McKee Medical Center in Loveland surrounded by her family. She was born on May 22, 1955 in Fort Collins, Colorado to Samuel and Leata Joy (Johnson) Weitzel. She was the youngest of three children.

She was raised in Fort Collins and graduated from Poudre High School.

Throughout her life, she worked as a teletype operator for Western Union, in construction hanging drywall, as a Jazzercize instructor, at Ideal Services, at Independent Bank of Kersey (formerly Kersey State Bank) and for the last 18 years, as an AVP in Loan Administration for Cache Bank & Trust.

Cheryl enjoyed fishing, shooting, gardening, cooking, reading, music, watching football and a myriad of crafting arts to include, crocheting, knitting, sewing, spinning, painting, needlework and woodcrafting. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her biggest passion and hobby was saving stray animals.

She is survived by her husband of almost 22 years, Rodney; daughter, Jessica (Kevin) Hoke; mother, Leata (Dick) Dangler; brother, Don (Lynn) Weitzel; sister, Elaine (Larry) Dreiling; many nieces and nephews; two dogs and three cats.

She was preceded in death by her father.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2016 at Stoddard Funeral Home.
