Daniel Lee Dobyns

Daniel grew in the Lakewood area. He graduated from Jefferson High School, in Wheat Ridge. After graduation, he worked at the Denver Club Building, in downtown Denver. He worked in elevator repair and building maintenance during his career.

On May 30, 2004 he married Martha Sweeney at Lake Tahoe, California.

Daniel was an avid bowler, belonging to the United States Bowling Congress. He competed on the national level as an amateur. Daniel won numerous awards for 300 games and 800 series. He also bowled a 299, always hoping for a 298.

He was a big game hunter, fisherman, and loved dirt track racing. Daniel also enjoyed watching NASCAR Races. Other enjoyments were playing cards, poker in particular, and trips to Black Hawk.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Martha; his sister, Cheryl Ann Davis of Bon Aqua, Tennessee; a brother, Jim Lee Nielson of Winnemucca, Nevada; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Paula and Bill Heiny of Arvada; sister-in-law and her partner, Marsha Earhart and Fran of Arvada; two nieces, Jamie and Brianna; and three nephews, Ryan, Jon, and AJ.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
