

Born December 22, 1933, in Max, Nebraska. David was the fifth child of Roy and Lily Freemyer. In 1954, he married Joleen Williams. Together, they began their life and family in Vernal, Utah, eventually settling in Greeley, Colorado, where they raised five children and built a life full of hard work, laughter, and love.
David was a skilled builder and entrepreneur. He began his career constructing feedlots and feed mills and later became a well-respected contractor installing truck and train scales throughout the US. His strong work ethic and integrity earned him the respect of many in the industry and community.
A passionate fan of the Denver Broncos and a devoted lover of Lake Powell, Dave enjoyed cheering on his team and spending time at the lake with family and friends. His legacy not only includes the physical structures he built but also the strong family he and Joleen created together.
Dave is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joleen W. Freemyer, his daughter, Deana Cheal, his grandson, Jordan Stoneman, his granddaughter, Ashley Eisenach.
He is survived by his daughters Debra Stoneman (John), Dana Alene, Kathy Noble (Brad), and his son Allen Freemyer (Windsor). He was the proud grandfather of 20 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Fran and Marshall Freemyer.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff and residents of Capstone and Pathways for their compassion and care, and to Larry Kern for his loyal friendship and support during Daves final years.
A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens 3400 W 28 St Greeley, Colorado, June 7, 2025 at 11:30 am.
David’s strong spirit, warm heart, and enduring love for his family will live on in all who knew him.
