

Delbert was born on November 25, 1944 in Kersey, Colorado to Alva and Viva Glover. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who deeply loved his family and church family. Delbert enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, cooking, woodworking, tinkering in his shop and spending time with those he loved.
A man of strong faith, Delbert loved the Lord and lived his life guided by Christian values. He taught his family the importance of faith, family, hard work, kindness, generosity and laughter.
Delbert was deeply involved in the Kersey Community. He served on the volunteer fire department for 28 years, including time on the fire board and as fire chief. He also served as mayor of the Town of Kersey in the past. Delbert was a faithful member of Kersey Community Church and served many times on the church board before moving to Arkansas in 2019.
He is survived by his wife of over 61 years, Bonnie Glover: children, Troy (Tammy) Glover and Brenda Glover: grandchildren, Rayne (Maddie) Carlson, Savannah Glover, Emma (Zak) Schell, Daniel Crackel: great grandchildren, DJ Dickehage, Paislee Schell, Charlotte Dickehage, Duke Schell, Remi Schell, Cash Carlson, Evelyn Dickehage and Layla Carlson, step grandchildren, Lukas (Ursula) Widener and Max (Sydney) McGhee: step great grandchildren, Levi Birkes and Zoey Fry one brother: and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Viva Glover and four brothers, Eirls, Bud, Art and Melvin.
A funeral service will be held on December 30 at 10:00 a.m. at the Kersey Community Church, 26221 WCR 53, Kersey with Dennis Jones officiating. Burial will follow immediately at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
A memorial fund has been established in Delbert’s name at Kersey Community Church for those wishing to make a donation.
We rejoice knowing Delbert is walking the streets of gold, free from pain, and reunited with loved ones until we meet again.
