Delmar Leroy Stolte

Delmar Leroy Stolte, 75, of Greeley, passed away December 1, 2016 at TRU Hospice of Northern Colorado. He was born March 2, 1941 in Odell, NE, to Clarence H. and Rosetta C. (Neinaber) Stolte. He married Charlotte Brunmeier on March 3, 1963 in Greeley, CO.

Delmar lived in Odell and Beatrice, NE, from 1941 until 1962. He has lived in Greeley since 1962. He attended Odell High School, graduating in 1958. He continued his education at Fairbury Jr. College in Fairbury, NE, graduating in 1962. He worked for the City of Greeley in the Public Works department as the survey party chief for 43 ½ years. He retired in 2006.

Delmar was a charter member of Christian Congregational Church servicing as Trustee and Deacon until the time he died, was a lifetime member of the Greeley Elks #809 – from September of 1963 until his death, serving as Tiler for nine years. Before his illness he enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Anne Stolte; son Jeffrey Scott (Renee) Stolte; daughter Kimberly Anne Hitchcock; brother Richard (Sandra) Stolte; brother in law, Larry Frerichs; and grandchildren, Ryan and Jill Stolte, Avery, Davin, Haven and Avaya Hitchcock.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Rosetta Stolte; daughter Lori Stolte; and sister, Jane Frerichs.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at the Christian Congregational Church of Greeley. Interment at Linn Grove Cemetery.
