

Doris Wagner was born October 28, 1927 to Edwin and Sarah (Kurtzer) Wagner in Paoli, Colorado.
She attended grade school in Paoli then attended high school in Haxtun, and later attended University of Northern Colorado with her sister.
She married Lex Jewell Elder then later divorced. She moved her family to Greeley in the early 1970s.
Doris was employed by various employers over the years—Centennial Library, Aims College, Kenton Manor, Fairacres Manor and Holiday Inn of Greeley. She retired in 1991.
Doris enjoyed traveling. She traveled to San Francisco, Ft. Lauderdale, North Carolina, Boston and Canada. She enjoyed taking flying lessons and classes learning German and Spanish languages.
Doris was a lifelong member of the Republican women. She enjoyed volunteering as an election judge. She was a member of the First Nazarene Church of Greeley.
Doris enjoyed reading, listening to music, gardening, yard work and visiting with anyone she met. She also enjoyed British television and was an avid Denver Broncos fan. Painting and knitting were her favorite hobbies.
She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Traylor of Pueblo; sons, Victor (Lizzetta) of Pierce, Richard (Kay) of Oklahoma, Lynn of Evans, Ed (Denise) of Rifle and Willie (Sandi) of Greeley; four nieces, Janet, Judy and Debra and one nephew, Jerry; 11 grandchildren, Scott, Janelle, Elisha, Joe, Cody, Dylan, Jason, Micah, Jarad, Samantha and Eric; three step-grandchildren, T.J., Chap and Thomas and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Sarah Wagner, her sister, Shirley Prussman and a great-granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Elder.
Doris will be missed by her family, relatives, church family and many friends.
Celebration of Life will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Greeley First Church of the Nazarene, 2515 West 16th Street.
