

Born in Toppenish, Washington in 1941, Ed served honorably in the United States Air Force for 8 years. During this time he met his loving wife and partner of 50 years, Rita (McQueen) Moran in Mississippi. He later earned an MA from the Mennonite Brethren Seminary in Fresno, California and then received a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary.
In 1980, he and Rita answered the call for full-time missionary service with SIM in Ghana, West Africa as a teacher and president of Maranatha Bible College for 14 years. After turning MBC over to Ghanaian leadership, Ed was appointed as the SIM Rocky Mountain Regional Director and moved to Loveland, Colorado in 1994 and served until 2017.
Ed was a long-time member of LifePointe/First Baptist Church. He served as an elder and had been recently serving as a Bible Class teacher on Sunday mornings.
Ed is survived by his brother Curt and his wife Joan, his brother Randy and his wife Brenda, and their children Kirstin, Micah, Andin, and Zak. He is also survived by his nieces Julie, Laura, and Barbara.
He is proceeded in death by his father and mother, Al and Eva Moran, his sisters Diana and Barbara “Bobbie”, his brother-in-law James, and his nephews Jimmy and Chip.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Rita, his children Tim and Joanna, and his granddaughter Haley.
Ed loved God, the Scriptures, teaching, and people were his passion.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 5, 2018, at LifePointe Church in Ft. Collins, Colorado with a reception to follow.
