

Edith grew up in New York and came to Colorado in 1939 where she met Donald Hodges. They were married on August 20, 1939 in Brighton, Colorado. Donald died on June 10, 1983. After their marriage, they resided in the Keenesburg and Hudson areas. They later moved to Derby and then to the Thornton area. She attended a Catholic church in Thornton for many years.
Edith worked for Broomfield Cleaners for over 40 years. After the death of her husband she continued to live in Thornton and then came to Greeley to be closer to her daughter and son-in-law Gloria and Bill Beckman. She enjoyed cooking, but especially enjoyed baking rolls and bread. Edith also loved to crochet afghans and shopping at thrift stores. She loved the time spent with her family and family get-togethers.
Edith is survived by a daughter Gloria (Bill) Beckman of Greeley; two sons Donald (Alma) Hodges of Cozad, Nebraska and Stanley Hodges; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and many great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Frankie Joe Hodges, and a daughter, Judy Mayme Morgan.
