Elizabeth Garrido

Elizabeth Garrido, 37, of Greeley, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Hospice of Northern Colorado. Elizabeth was born on December 28, 1977 in Toluca, Mexico to Inocente Cortez and Maria Louisa (Damian) Ocampo.

Elizabeth spent her childhood in Southern California attending Hollywood High School. She moved to Greeley in 1998 and worked for Sunrise Medical Center until she became ill.

In 2001, she married Eleazar Garrido in Greeley and they had three children. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.

Elizabeth’s family was very important to her. She enjoyed gardening, making tamales, Denver Broncos football, boxing and having family events at her home, especially birthday parties.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Eleazar; daughter, Bryseida Garrido; two sons, Pedro M. Garrido and Jonathan Garrido; father, Inocente Ocampo; sister, Maricela Ocampo and four brothers, Carlos Ocampo, Julian Ocampo, Manolo Ocampo and Daniel Ocampo.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2015 with Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
