Eric met Holly Delamotte at Sylvan Dale Dude Ranch in Loveland. They dated for two years and were married in April 2005 in Fort Collins.
Eric was a member of the 6:33 Men’s Group. His family was the most important thing in his life. He was hardworking and providing his children with a better education was very important to him. Eric attended every Butterfly Kisses Dance with his daughter. Kyle and Eric loved long talks together and Eric was teaching Kyle to drive. He was a fan of football, especially the Denver Broncos. He loved nature and enjoyed motorcycles and vintage Mustangs. When people met Eric, they never felt like a stranger. He enjoyed making nicknames up for those he loved.
