Florence R. Brown

Florence R. Brown passed peacefully, surrounded by the warmth and love of her extended family on March 25, 2017 at TRU Hospice of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Florence was born on August 15, 1926 in Quinter, Kansas to Lawrence and Sophia Brown. The family moved to Brighton, CO in 1937. Florence married Alvin Brown in 1947. They had one daughter Debra Slocum. They moved to Greeley in 1977. Florence loved to quilt and crochet. She also loved to bake. Florence was well known for her special wedding cakes.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter; brothers, William, Edward, Eugene, Victor, Melvin and Robert Brown and sister, Martina Wagner.

She is survived by two grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by an extended family of sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews who will remember her with all the warmth and love Florence so generously gave. We will keep her forever in our hearts.

Recitation of the Rosary will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. both at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
