Florence Straight passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2026. She was born December 31, 1932, in Elmwood Nebraska to Roger and Freeda (Fifer) Reeve. Shortly after, the family moved to Colorado and established themselves on what was to be known as the Reeve Farm in LaSalle.
Florence graduated from Greeley High School in 1951. She married Jerry Straight and they raised four children, Susan, Gary, Jill and Beth. Florence enjoyed crafts, painting and many hobbies through the years. She retired from Hewlett Packard in 1997 after a long career in Administration. Florence was a dedicated member of the Greeley Assistance League and a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church of LaSalle.
She is survived by her children, Susan (Jim) Damon, Jill (Jim) Breninger, Beth (Valentine) Aleman and Daughter in Law Laurel Vicklund. Grandchildren, Tyler, Claire, Jasmine, Jaime, Joel, Stephanie and Rebecca and six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by Jerry and her son Gary, along with her siblings Betty McClellan, Ole Reeve, Dick Reeve, Dorothy Straight, Louise Kane and Doris Reeve who passed shortly after birth.
The Celebration of Life will be Monday, June 1, at 11am at the Macy Chapel at Allnutt Funeral Services. Donations may be made to the Greeley Assistance League or the Alzheimer’s Association of Colorado at alz.org/co.
